The fourth National Youth Convention of Ghana YMCA was held in Takoradi in the Western Region from 16th – 19th August 2007.

National Youth Convention
The fourth National Youth Convention of Ghana YMCA was held in Takoradi in the Western Region from 16th – 19th August 2007. In all over 100 young people coming from all the YMCA Regional Councils in Ghana were present.
The three – day convention included sessions on Youth Empowerment: Prerequisite for Nation Building, Wealth Creation and the Youth: Strategy for Poverty Alleviation and Building a Strong Membership Profile for Ghana YMCA. There was a clean up exercise at the Takoradi European Hospital as part of the activities marking the convention. There were lots of games among the regions such as football, table tennis, volley ball, playing of cards and sprints.
The highlight of the games was tug of war at Paloma Beach at Takoradi. The young ladies participated fully and the excitement that the YMCA brought to the beach was enormous.
