After much preparation, hard work and a long cross-border journey, the we have Faith, Act Now for Climate Justice Caravan reached their destination at the Kings Park stadium, Durban on 27 November with much jubilation and fan-fare.

After blazing the trail for 13 days, the young activists in the “We have Faith Act Now Campaign,” caravan arrived in Zambia this week where they are expected to hold concerts to amplify the dangers of climate change.

YMCA Africa supports youth to plant millions of trees in Africa
The African Alliance of YMCAs (AAYMCA) today launches a week-long campaign to plant 10,000 trees in Kenya in honour of the late Nobel Prize laureate Prof. Wangari Maathai. The trees will be planted by youth across the country in 20 YMCA Kenya centres as part of an African-wide youth tree planting campaign.

Norwegians respond to terror attacks "by building more democracy and openness"
The events in Norway over the past month have really been a shock for the whole Norwegian population. That an act of violence and terror should happen in our land, with such immense brutality and evil in the shooting down of very young and innocent people, one by one, has left us, a nation in mourning.

One of the highlights on the Ghana YMCA’s programme calendar is an annual gathering of young people drawn from all regions across the country. The annual gathering normally referred to as Ghana YMCA Annual Youth Convention is organized to offer young people an opportunity to network in an educative environment, learning through experiential and fun activities.

This week in Norway, we see the continuation of KFUK/KFUM's celebration of global YMCA citizenship and the vocal youth call to stop poverty within the next 20 years. During Global Week last week, over 60 youth leaders from around the world met in Norway to further develop their skills in media, advocacy and communication, political positioning.
