2. TRAINING SCHOOL IN YMCA GHANA
Ghana YMCA operates three training institutions in Accra, Takoradi in the Western Region and Apedwa in the Eastern Region. The school in Takoradi is all female an courses such as catering, dressmaking and Batik tye and dye clothe making are offered.

The Technical training school in Accra is the first school established 40 years ago in Accra. It offers masonry, carpentry and joinery. As part of reforming the school, architectural draughtmanship has been introduced as part of the courses offered in the school.

The school in Apedwa in the recent past was faced with managerial problems. Frantic efforts are in place to reorganize the school.


3. YOUTH FRIENDLY COUNSELLING CENTRES
Ghana YMCA runs youth friendly counseling centres in Ketu and Hohoe districts in the Volta Region. Three youth friendly counseling centres are being run in the Hohoe district.

YOUTH DELEGATES MEET IN HONG KONG TO STRATEGISE FOR GLOBAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Hi-Tech Youth Training Centre to be Established in Accra 

The vision of the African YMCAs to empower the youth for the African renaissance has been given a boost with the signing of a preliminary agreement between the Fuhrlaender Company of Germany, Ghana YMCA, CVJM and the African Alliance of YMCAs to establish a hi-tech training centre in Accra with sub-centres in Takoradi and Apedwa all in Ghana.

YMCA Clinches €2.5m Training Deal 
Furlander an organisation that is based in Germany and deals in wind mill and nuclear energy on Friday signed a €2.5 million training agreement with the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) Ghana to help train its student and create jobs for the youth.
